Humanity’s Witness

Even Heaven spies on us
For not even clouds can obscure
The light that lives upon the waves–
Curiosity moves their eyes
From their tranquil stasis
To the wisps of fire enduring
The blackened howls of the storm.
Even as the manic air trembles
The foundation, the fire still
Holds place before the gathering
